Job Description

Engineering Supervisor – Port of Felixstowe

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Engineering professional to join our Engineering Department at the Port of Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and ensuring that critical engineering operations run smoothly.

About the Role

As our Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting a team of engineering specialists. Your focus will be on delivering effective engineering solutions that meet the needs of the business and support our port operations. You will play a key part in improving productivity, refining maintenance procedures, and ensuring our assets perform at their best. Collaboration will be at the heart of what you do, as you will work closely with both engineering and operational teams to drive continuous improvement.

This is an on-site position and requires working a 12-hour shift pattern—four days on, followed by four days off.

What You Need to Know Before You Apply

We encourage all applicants to review our full applicant pack and job description for a detailed overview of the role and requirements.

Our Recruitment Process

We want our hiring process to give every candidate the chance to shine. We focus purely on your skills, experience, and the quality of your answers—so all personal and identifiable information is removed before your application reaches the hiring managers.

Here’s what to expect:

Submit your application through our website by 7 December 2025. Take your time to review the role information and highlight your relevant experience, technical knowledge, and transferable skills.

2. Initial Screening
Once your application is redacted, it will be passed to our hiring managers for review.

3. Interviews

  • First Interview: A face-to-face meeting with two Engineering Managers, expected to take place during the week of 15 December 2025.
  • Second Interview: Successful candidates will be invited to a final in-person stage at the Port, which will include a workshop tour, a Height Test, and further competency-based questions.

4. Outcome
We will contact all candidates as soon as possible after the final interview to share the results.
