Job Summary

About the Role
As a Wellbeing Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the College’s Safeguarding, Prevent, and Inclusion agenda. Your work will ensure the success and retention of learners through targeted wellbeing interventions, helping students achieve their potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wellbeing Support:
- Operate through the Wellbeing Centre and CPOMS to manage and respond to initial reports of learner concerns.
- Provide short and medium-term wellbeing interventions to address student needs.
- Monitoring and Target Setting:
- Track at-risk learners and groups.
- Develop and review SMART targets and individual wellbeing action plans to promote retention and progression.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with curriculum teams, Programme Leaders, and internal/external support services to ensure a holistic approach to learner success.
- Attendance Management:
- Analyze data to monitor attendance trends.
- Provide one-to-one and group support to improve attendance, retention, and achievement rates.
Essential Criteria
- Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
- Willingness to obtain relevant qualifications in teaching, learning, Information, Advice or Guidance, and ICT.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in roles such as teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching learners.
- Knowledge of tools like Pro Monitor and frameworks like EIF, with a solid understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, and Inclusion principles.
- Skills:
- Strong commitment to learner success and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage individual and group learners effectively.
- Proficiency in ICT and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Personal Qualities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse learners.
- A caring, professional, and adaptable approach to working with students.
