About the role
We have an amazing chance to work as a Senior Research Nurse for the Specialised Translational Research Oxford Neuromuscular Group (STRONG) in the Department of Paediatrics.
You will play a key role in delivering our clinical trial portfolio, collaborating closely with the Clinical Trial Managers, Laura Chiverton, Clinical Research and Operations Manager, and Laurent Servais, Principal Investigator.
You will manage the clinical components of our clinical trial portfolio and be an outstanding team leader. You will be in charge of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while participating in clinical research visits. The selected candidate will also be required to use good communication skills in a range of settings, assisting participants and their families in making decisions regarding study enrollment and participation.
You will be part of a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a global leader in child health research, with internationally recognised research projects in drug discovery, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases, and vaccinology.
This post is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract for one year, with the option to extend if further external financing is available.
This position fits the requirements for a UK Skilled Worker visa.
About You
You will be a registered nurse with an NMC pin and extensive experience and skills in a leadership position. You will be competent in clinical skills relevant to neuromuscular research, and you will actively contribute to the MDT’s education while also working independently within the scope of your employment.
