About the role

This position is located in a busy External Relations department and is responsible for the continued creation and maintenance of the University of Derby website and any other digital estate related to the University’s student recruitment, marketing and profile-raising activities. In addition, the job is in charge of pushing technology innovation, reporting and analysis, and providing support for essential marketing processes.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in front-end development, including dealing with third-party Content Management Systems (CMS) and related technologies. While experience with a broad development stack is advantageous, competence in full-stack development (client and server-side) is not required for this position, as the University relies on a number of third-party systems for the majority of its back-end (server-side) activities.

As the University’s primary point of contact, you will be able to effectively connect with non-technical stakeholders within the institution.
