JOB DESCRIPTION
As a registered nurse, the position holder is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while on duty.
The Oncology/Haematology Day Treatment Unit is housed in the Queens Centre at CHH and is currently available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is a specialised service for patients with both malignant and non-malignant oncology and haematological illnesses. The Unit is looking for a motivated nurse to join the team to help offer treatment and investigations, including chemotherapy.
The cutting-edge outpatient services include medical consultations, radiation treatment, and a huge day unit that provides intravenous treatments. The Unit has tremendous resources to provide specialty care.

The position holder will be willing to learn cannulation and systemic anti-cancer therapy administration skills.
Full training will be provided. Patients are cared for in both the ward and the clinic, therefore good communication skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team are required. It is required that the post holder have or be prepared to work towards a post-basic qualification in a relevant profession and get a SACT UKONS Passport.
The chosen candidate will be granted a four-week supernumerary period and a full mentorship package. In order to provide the greatest nursing care to our patients, we wish to invest in you.
As the postholder progresses, they will be responsible for the training and supervision of others, hence a teaching, evaluating, or mentoring certification is preferred.
