Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
PhycoWorks is a venture-backed biotech start-up situated in London. We believe that industry should work with the environment rather than harm it. Our objective is to speed up humanity’s transition to a sustainable bioeconomy. We’re developing a platform that leverages AI and synthetic biology to create algae strains that can convert CO2 into valuable chemicals and are designed for industrial use.
PhycoWorks was formed in June 2021 by Entrepreneur First, the world’s leading start-up accelerator. We have since recruited a team of world-class scientists and engineers at our facility in the heart of London. We created highly valuable, innovative microalgae strains that enabled us to secure seven-figure commercial contracts with industrial giants. Our data platform has analysed over 250 reactor years of industry data and is utilised by major algae producers across the world to analyse and enhance their operations.
We are extending our founding team of scientists and engineers that are dedicated to harnessing technology to create a more sustainable future. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven start-up working at the interface of biology and computation.
