SPONSORSHIP
Sponsorship is only offered to talented Shift Engineers who are currently stationed in the United Kingdom. Your sponsorship will be self-financed in advance. We do not offer housing allowances or worker housing.
What will you be doing?
As a Shift Engineer, you’ll help maintain the hotel’s interior and outside. You will be responsible for the timely repair of all issues reported during your shift. You will be in charge of electrical, sewage, plumbing, heating, and lighting maintenance, as well as the rapid correction of any deficiencies. You will be guest-focused by constantly providing outstanding service in a knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient manner.
THE DUTIES
- Have a complete understanding of how to operate all of the hotel’s plant, boiler, air conditioning, and heating equipment and ensure that it is operational.
- By conducting frequent checks, we ensure that the hotel is both safe and useful for our guests.
- Prioritise and complete all jobs in accordance with departmental standards and within an appropriate timeline; if this is not possible, ensure that visitors and relevant supervisors are notified.
- Supporting preventative maintenance and systematic testing of rooms and equipment, such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and electrical work.
- Keeping the hotel’s public and back-of-house areas looking their best.
- To be thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s fire and emergency procedures.
- While on shift, take regular walks through the public areas and guest corridors to ensure that all lights are working properly.
- Checking all maintenance stocks on a regular basis and purchasing adequate supplies as needed to ensure continuity of service to all other departments.
- Respond to maintenance-related callouts as needed.
- To obey C.O.S.H.H. regulations, particularly those governing the storage of hazardous substances.
- General maintenance duties.
- Ensure that suitable files and resources are saved for future reference.
- Complete daily reports summarising the job accomplished for the day.
- Being completely aware of and adhering to Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Security regulations and procedures.
- Checking fire alarm systems monthly and keeping all reports in the Fire Manual.
- Make sure that all key and security protocols are rigorously followed.
WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN YOU?
- You will be a confident communicator, eager and motivated, with a keen eye for detail and correctness.
- You will have previous experience at a comparable level and demonstrated skills in a premium hotel or similar setting.
- It would be advantageous in this role if you have previous maintenance expertise in electrical, plumbing, or painting and decorating.
- Qualifications that are relevant to the role.

SALARY:
£28,675.92
