Job Description

 

Summary

 

Dowty Propellers has an interesting opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer. You will be in charge of driving quality for assigned suppliers, including quality improvement plans and corrective actions, assisting with supplier selection and maintaining ASL, executing supplier audits in accordance with the compliance schedule, and assisting suppliers in closing out any corrective actions.

 

 

 

Responsibilities and Roles

 

  • Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development are also included. Supplier certification, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and aiding important suppliers in meeting industry standards of excellence are all part of the process.

 

  • The Supplier Quality Engineer is in charge of communicating corporate goals, programmes, and processes to a specific supplier group. In this capacity, you will use your knowledge and skills to solve problems, define and implement goals for yourself and others, and be able to affect short-term and long-term company goals throughout the supply chain.

 

  • Responsible for driving quality with designated suppliers and increasing quality performance through QIPs.

 

  • Support supplier selection by implementing rigorous certification processes and collaborating with Sourcing Leaders to monitor and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers.

 

  • Accelerate supplier quality improvements for zero defect deliveries.

 

  • Utilise your expertise across a commodities group to provide Quality Engineering support.

 

  • Support and identify new procedures or advanced automated equipment in the extended supply chain as a representative of Supplier Quality Engineering.

 

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure that all Company and regulatory requirements are met.

 

  • Leader standard work rhythms help to support daily business rhythms.

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities

 

  • Self-assured in the development of interpersonal and leadership skills

 

  • Capability to persuade others and lead small groups in issue solving

 

  • Capability to travel and work efficiently outside of the office

 

  • Capability to coordinate many tasks at the same time

 

  • Problem-solving abilities and approaches that can be shown

 

  • Understanding of AS9100 and EASA Parts 21J, 21G, and 145 regulations

 

  • Analytical abilities that have been demonstrated

 

  • A specialisation in one of the following processes would be advantageous: composites, machining, moulding, coatings, or forging.

 

  • Knowledge of or experience with product, compliance, or supplier audits.
