Endoscopy Nurse, Band 5.

 

Are you a motivated and vivacious Band 5 Nurse seeking a chance to work in endoscopy nursing? This could be the ideal position for you!

 

While not necessary, prior experience would be advantageous.

 

 

In addition to caring for our endoscopic patients and supporting the endoscopists with a variety of endoscopic treatments, you would be collaborating closely with a sizable team.

 

 

 

Our service is always growing, so we are looking for candidates that are steadfast in their resolve to provide excellent, patient-focused care.The QEHB Endoscopy Department offers a wide range of medical diagnostic and treatment services, such as:

 

 

 

Gastroscopies, trans-nasal endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexion-flexion sigmoidoscopies, endoscopic ultrasound scan (EUS), capsule endoscopy, transbronchial and endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS) are among the upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies.

 

 

We offer endoscopy and emergency endoscopy services around-the-clock, including a nightly on-call service for QEHB patients in need of urgent operations. It would be expected of the applicant to support the service’s on-call requirements jointly.

The Nursing Team collaborates with a range of medical and support personnel in all areas. As we move patients between operation rooms and ward areas and stand or help for extended periods of time during the running of full lists, the work demands a certain amount of physicality.

  • Proof and capacity to revalidate in accordance with NMC requirements

  • Experience from the past or present, or employment in an acute secondary NHS care environment (including student placements completed within the last year),
  • Proof of accomplishments, professional growth in the current position, and ongoing competency
  • Experience in a healthcare setting working both alone and collaboratively, assigning tasks to team members, and supervising others
  • willingness to fulfil the requirements set forth by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for student supervision and assessment in order to work as a practise supervisor or assessor
  • Knowledge and comprehension of the NMC code of conduct
