Join Us in Improving Community Health Across Wiltshire
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic Public Health Practitioner to join our dedicated Health Improvement team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to meaningful, long-term change and help drive Wiltshire’s ambition to become a Smokefree county by 2029, supporting the national vision for a Smokefree Generation by 2030.
With increased government investment in local public health programmes, this is an excellent time to step into a role where your work will directly influence healthier communities and improved lives.
What You’ll Do
As part of our multidisciplinary Health Improvement team, you will:
- Support the delivery of targeted smoking cessation and tobacco control initiatives.
- Work closely with a Public Health Specialist and Public Health Principal to lead specific programmes and ensure they meet national guidance and local priorities.
- Collaborate with partners across Wiltshire, including voluntary and community organisations, healthcare services and local stakeholders.
- Use your project management, data analysis and community engagement skills to develop and deliver impactful public health interventions.
- Contribute to planning, monitoring and evaluation activities that support strategic goals.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be making tangible differences in local communities while gaining valuable experience in public health delivery.
