Job Summary

At Roseberry Park Hospital, we are looking to add Health Care Assistants and Trainees to our team on the Westerdale North Ward.

Our ward serves as an acute assessment unit for seniors 65 and older who are dealing with functional mental illness. Upon discharge from the ward, many of these patients receive support at home.

The chosen individuals would be required to put in 37.5 hours per week of labor in a 24 hour shift pattern.

Main responsibilities of the job

To give patients direct care and to ensure their safety while they are confined to inpatient wards.

The chosen candidate must have earned a level three diploma in health and social care or something comparable. Applicants must also meet the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period and have literacy and numeracy skills at level 2 or higher (first 6 months in role).

The chosen individuals who lack the necessary credentials will be forced to enroll in the Healthcare Assistant Framework, which entails earning a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, a level 2 in Reading and Numeracy, or an equivalent, and meeting competency requirements. You will have no more than two years to finish this.
