We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Mobile Engineering Manager to assist in the development of a cutting-edge mobile platform for Ford Credit. We are searching for an inventive and driven leader to assist us build our Mobile capabilities within Ford Credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

What you’re going to do….

  • Create a unified strategy for integrating all existing Ford Credit applications into a global Mobile Platform.

 

  • Capability to mentor and lead junior engineers working on a variety of technologies and frameworks such as Swift UI, Android Jetpack Compose, and others.

 

  • Capable of developing mobile frameworks and platforms to power future use cases.

 

  • Measure and monitor application performance with existing toolsets (ContentSquare, Dynatrace, Splunk, Adobe, and others) and propose modifications to support our mobile platform more effectively.

 

  • Evangelise the possibilities of Mobile Platform within Ford and try to include future use cases into Mobile Platform.Assist the organisation in understanding mobile capabilities and developing a strategy for others to follow.

 

  • Ability to operate independently and in a cross-functional team to achieve business goals.

 

  • A strong emphasis on innovation combined with a desire to be customer oriented.

 

  • Maintain your knowledge of terminology, principles, and best practices for coding mobile apps.

 

  • Provide assistance throughout the application lifetime (idea, design, testing, release, and support).

 

  • Optimise performance via troubleshooting and debugging.

 

  • Promote engineering excellence, amazing usability, and extraordinary quality.

 

  • Drive architectural decisions for our systems and platform integration.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

You’ll have…

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent is required.

 

  • 12+ years of experience, including at least three years as a Mobile Architect/Software Development Leader.

 

  • 3+ years of expertise architecting Native iOS and Android applications with a high level of client satisfaction.

 

  • Experience with DevOps technologies and techniques such as Agile/SAFe is required.

 

  • Knowledge of system design, programming, and data structure.

 

 

Even better, you might have….

 

  • Strong working knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs.

 

  • Understanding of OOP design, MVVM, VIPER, and SOLID principles.

 

  • Dealing with ambiguity in order to generate solutions that work for partners from multiple topic areas while meeting demanding deadlines.

 

  • You are enthusiastic about learning and growing others around you.

 

  • Experience with cloud application development solutions like GCP and Kubernetes is preferred.

 

  • Extensive knowledge of Swift UI and Jetpack Compose.

 

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, app delivery from beta to production.

 

  • Excellent analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

 

  • Knowledge of integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
