Position Overview:
The Market Intelligence analyst will conduct consumer electronics market analysis that yield actionable recommendations for competitive marketplace advantages. This function is responsible with assisting Samsung’s sales and marketing teams in positioning Samsung products to outsell competitors. The successful candidate will be in charge of conducting data analysis to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies. They will also create and use statistical/forecasting models to analyse complex datasets and anticipate future outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Predict sales and pricing trends for Samsung and competitors.
Help the Market Intelligence team conduct weekly industry and business sales assessments for all main Home Entertainment product categories.
Create and manage a bot to collect publicly available market intelligence (promotional details, prices, etc.) from retailer.com.
Automate the reporting procedure.
Required Skills / Attributes:
High level of skill in statistics, Python, HTML, and Microsoft Excel is necessary.
Must have extensive knowledge of modelling and forecasting.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presenting skills (both verbal and written). Frequent engagement with Product Marketing teams to ensure complicated data is presented in a unified and effective way.
Team-oriented, but capable of working alone and managing various responsibilities.
Management of consumer marketing copy and creative deliverables.
Collaborate with creative agencies and cross-functional teams to create high-quality, compelling copy.
Manage timelines and project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of copy assets.
Offer constructive feedback and direction to copywriters and agency teams.
Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to ensure efficient creative reviews, approvals, and production processes.
(On an as-needed basis) produce and edit original material for consumer marketing assets such as Paid Media (OLA, OLV, Social, Search) and Partnerships.
Background & Experience:
5+ years of experience with data analytics or data engineering
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, or information systems.
