Job Description

 

 

 

Summary

 

New product development from initial concept to product launch, including technical research/design/manufacturing.

 

Responsible for all actions related to a product or product line throughout its lifecycle.

 

 

 

Job Overview:

 

  • Develop new items via brainstorming ideas.

 

  • Study POS data and sales analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of market demand.

 

  • Market research is used to comprehend/read current trends.

 

  • Create designs for new products and collect similar samples to begin sourcing.

 

  • Request quotes and samples from vendors. Examine the price and the quality. Check to see if we have a fair COG.

 

  • Create a Smartsheet project, launch a PPT, and compare quotes to officially submit the plan for freshly launched products.

 

  • Create a CSR for package design. Brainstorm ideas and present them to the creative team.

 

  • Maintain constant communication with vendors to ensure project completion and production quality. Check the first production timeline and the ETA/ETD.

 

  • Constantly interact with other departments to inform them of any changes, issue POs, approve new things, and promote them strategically.

 

  • Find new eligible vendors. If a new vendor is discovered, submit a new vendor request and conduct a new vendor audit.

 

  • Discuss and poll the product with customers via the vendor. Many factors, such as product colours and functionality, could be surveyed.

 

  • Improve current selling item sales and COGs, and optimise item assortment

 

  • Examine the sales analysis to determine the sales of each item and the trend.

 

  • Maintain an optimal product assortment in each category.

 

  • According to sales, update the material status (MS change).

 

  • Gathering user needs and producing products or upgrades, including technical design services as needed

 

  • Development of product packaging, samples, and prototypes

 

  • Conducting research and designing methods to increase product/brand attractiveness to target clientele

 

  • Product performance monitoring and product and/or marketing modifications

 

  • Redesign products or the artwork on their packaging to improve their functionality and sales.

 

  • Maintain COT with clear specifications and consistent AQL to control product quality.

 

  • Resolve the QIR with the vendor and urge them to prevent or reduce future defects.

 

  • Prepare sales meetings’ papers and product samples.

 

  • Create a sales presentation for new products and introduce them to the sales team.

 

  • Follow-up comments from sales meetings, as well as assistance if required

The estimated salary range is

Hourly rate: 22.75 – 44.50 USD

 

 

 

Actual pay will be determined by a variety of factors such as qualifications, education, experience, and location. The compensation range may alter at any time due to a variety of internal and external reasons.
