Overview:
Available shifts:
- Day/Night Rotating Shift or Straight Night Shift (7:00pm-7:30am).
- 36 hours per week available (0.9 full-time equivalent).
- Every other weekend is necessary, with a holiday rotation.
Benefits are eligible.
The position starts at $34.00 per hour plus shift and weekend differentials.Pay should be commensurate with experience.
After successfully completing department orientation, your compensation will increase by $2.00 per hour.

- 29 beds
- H2B PICU provides comprehensive care to critically sick patients ranging in age from infancy to young adults.
- We treat high-acuity patients with a wide range of illnesses, including trauma, burn, transplant, respiratory, surgical, neurological, endocrinological, renal, oncological, neurosurgical, sepsis, and other medical issues.
- The nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:2, depending on the patient’s acuity and demands.
- We work as a cohesive, multidisciplinary team to deliver the best possible care and outcomes to our patients and family. We do bedside rounds twice day, involving the interdisciplinary team and families.

Responsibilities:
1. Offers nursing care with a family-centered approach.
2. Evaluates unique patient needs.
3. Communicates patient care needs and priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
4. Planned, implemented, educated, and evaluated care using evidence-based practices.
5. Uses Therapeutic Communication while keeping track of the physical, psychological, and social requirements of patients and families.
6. Participates in the ‘workplace community’ by remaining informed about changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, representing staff at relevant meetings, and conveying key information and updates to staff.
7. Documents follow organisational standards, rules, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: BSN; Associate degree with a commitment to complete BSN within 5 years of hire.
Licensure: Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Certifications: Current CPR certification is essential. Must be willing to achieve and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON, or other required certifications as determined by your management based on the business unit.

Typing on the computer constantly (67-100%).

Walk frequently (34-66%).
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds independently.
