Summary

A software QA engineer’s primary responsibilities include researching and testing the design, requirements, functionality, and maintenance of software, systems, and processes, as well as developing quality standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Carry out field and mobility driving test scenarios for Development and MR projects.
  • Prepare devices for field testing (software, appropriate test tools, etc.).
  • Create new test routes or adjust current infrastructure to reflect new network features and modifications.Report any faults and draft issues to PLM for assessment and registration.
  • On a daily basis, report complete field test results.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams and departments.
  • Detect and track software faults and discrepancies.
  • Analysing the testing results and reporting to the development team.
  • Developing test designs, procedures, cases, and test-product documentation
  • Conducting testing according to the established criteria and procedures
  • Ensure that testing is carried out according to the stated standards and procedures.
  • Perform software testing at all phases of the software life cycle: design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.

 

Requirements and qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with little supervision.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Team player
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Intermediate (3 years of experience)

 

Additional requirements:

  • Must be willing to go to various cities to complete field tasks. Business trips can be long.
  • You must be comfortable working in a vehicle.
  • Must be comfortable working on a computer and fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Should be able to communicate both verbally and writing.
