Our Gas Service organisation is seeking a highly dedicated, self-motivated Commercial Project Manager to join our Distributed Business CPM team. In this capacity, you will be in charge of all commercial issues as well as project finances. You will collaborate with our project management organisation to ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with our contractual commitments, project management standards, and appropriate financial rules.

Critical thinking and a collaborative mindset are essential qualities in this position.

How Will You Make an Impact?

  • You are fully responsible for all commercial/finance problems, including but not limited to accounting, legal, tax, foreign exchange, and NCM issues.
  • You professionally manage and optimise specific financial results (e.g., revenue, project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments).
  • Responsible for the monthly revenue recognition and contractual billing.
  • You generate commercial paperwork for regular project status meetings and verify that commercial project data is accurate during the execution phase (forecast, MIKA/EAC, cash flow).
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP requirements, reporting rules, and internal controls.
  • You assure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, as well as overall project books and records, including the recording of relevant systems such as SAP, our project database, OnePM, eFMT, and so on.
  • You oversee the application and ongoing management of financial guarantees, bonds, and project securities.
  • You assist the project manager in identifying and minimising non-conformance costs, as well as building an appropriate reporting structure; you also assist with the implementation of lessons learnt into your project and the organisation as whole.
  • You help the PM discover, evaluate, and assess risks, opportunities, strategies, and reaction activities.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or similar experience in finance, business administration, or accounting is required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business and finance.
  • A thorough comprehension of both GAAP and IFRS is necessary.
  • good proficiency in PC applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office, as well as good analytical abilities.
  • Must be capable of efficiently communicating financial facts to non-financial internal customers.
  • The ability to multitask and operate under pressure to fulfil deadlines is essential.
  • Alteryx and Tableau experience is desirable.
  • The candidate should have demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Required travel: ~5%
  • Applicants must be lawfully authorised to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with valid visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services branch provides low-emission electricity generation via servicing and decarbonisation. Zero or low-emission power generating, with all gas turbines, steam turbines and generators housed together.
