As a Software Design Verification Engineer III, you will contribute to our efforts to build sensors, ECUs, models, and software. The worker in this software test position is enthusiastic about validating and verifying new features.

 

The minimum requirements we seek are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, an appropriate degree, or similar work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional expertise with Software/Requirements Verification projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for various Verification/Validation scopes and integration levels).
  • 2+ years of professional expertise in test case design.
  • 2+ years of professional experience developing automation scripts.

 

Our preferred requirements:

  • Proven familiarity with a variety of infotainment capabilities, including audio, tuner, SiriusXM, and Bluetooth, as well as testing these systems.
  • Experience using test management solutions such as Testrail.
  • Experience with any object-oriented programming with a strong understanding of debugging.
  • Work effectively on an agile team using agile methods with internal software design verification groups, as well as Tier I and Tier II (external vendors).
  • Advanced experience in Electrical Architecture, Functional Architecture, or Software Architecture.
  • Effectively employs software configuration management (source control, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc.).
  • Experience in software operations (DevSecOps, Reliability Engineering, Observability, support/maintenance, etc.).
  • Experience with secure coding techniques and modern software development methodologies, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development, or demonstrated delivery of single-focus programming.
  • Proficient with automation tools. Understands and uses industry Software Quality Assurance standards, such as ASPICE, ISTQB, ASAM, and INCOSE.

Design and create automation scripts for requirements verification at numerous integration and solution levels.

Leads incident triage, does root cause investigation, and helps to preventive action planning.

Use Test Management tools to analyse test planning, design, execution, monitoring (proficient key metric interpretation), and report test results.

Use defect management tools to create defects and monitor their resolution.

Understand and implement Ford Standards and Tools for Pipeline Development.
