Visa Direct is a global real-time money movement platform that supports a variety of consumer and business funded use-cases, including fund disbursement (such as earned wage access and insurance claim disbursements), person-to-person (P2P) transfer, and person-to-micro-business transfer (such as payouts to shared economy providers).Push payments are expected to replace cash, cheques, and sluggish bank transfers with real-time money movement, with a global payment volume of over 80 trillion dollars. Since merchants originate Visa Direct transactions and services through them, a strong, diverse enabling ecosystem is essential for success.

 

 

By enabling and expanding a robust and varied Visa Direct ecosystem, the North America (N.A.) Visa Direct Bank Sponsor Growth team aims to power Visa Direct payments through both conventional and unconventional enablement channels, including financial institutions, acquirers, processors, payment facilitators, software platforms, merchants, service providers, and Fintechs. Our objectives are to build relationships with the bank sponsors in this ecosystem so that we can support their expansion and betterment of their money transfer services. We work with different Visa internal teams and regions, facilitate new payment flows, scale strategic use cases, and drive end-to-end programme launch optimisation. We also support bank sponsor related operations such as originator/merchant launches. We work with bank sponsors, originators, and enablers that are strategically significant and vital to Visa Direct’s success.

 

 

You oversee and direct Visa Direct growth with Visa’s leading Bank Sponsors in North America in your capacity as Senior Manager, Visa Direct Bank Sponsor Growth. Together with your extended Visa coworkers, you will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of growth plans for Visa Direct accounts. The position will interact with several departments inside the assigned clients’ organisation as well as Visa, so organisational savvy, people skills, and negotiating abilities are essential (partnered sales, marketing, pricing, legal, risk and more). On the Visa Direct Bank Sponsor development team, this is a vital revenue development role in a prominent position. Your capacity to manage a team to adapt and flourish in a fast-paced environment is matched by your high intellectual curiosity to acquire new concepts and business models, as well as your exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

 

 

Your role will involve providing support for important strategic initiatives within Visa Direct, such as enabling and growing full-stack banks that wish to process Visa Direct transactions; optimising the end-to-end onboarding process with bank sponsors and enablers to reduce time to revenue; and activating, growing, and expanding push to card (domestic and cross-border/XB) sponsorship with current and new bank sponsors.

 

 

 

 

Important Duties:

 

Lead expansion plans and prospects, such as contract negotiations, deal approvals, new use case and payment flow launches, and in-person client partnership presentations.

 

 

On behalf of your clients, oversee client account planning tasks, pipeline strategy, and opportunity development throughout the greater Visa organisation.

Gain a thorough grasp of the business, performance, benchmarking, and industry of our bank sponsor clients in order to maximise and expand their real-time payment volume through Visa Direct.

 

 

 

Work together with the NA and worldwide commercialization teams to provide opportunity sizing for the expansion of use cases and for the Visa Direct services (Wallet, Card, and Account) for both domestic and international/cross-border markets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Maintain bank accounts for BIN sponsors as part of Visa Direct in North America, and collaborate closely with primary AEs (Digital Partnerships, Super Regional/Regional Accounts) for Visa BIN sponsors that rank in the top 10 to 50 in terms of sponsorship volume.

 

 

To cultivate, enable, and expand partners for Visa Direct BIN/bank sponsorship, establish connections both inside and externally with Visa Direct specialised sales, account managers, consultants, and product solutioning.

 

 

Help other members of the Visa Direct team in the areas of strategy, account management, solutioning, sales, and commercialization as they expedite the end-to-end client onboarding process (including bank sponsorship) in order to increase revenue more quickly. Programme information form (PIF), solutions requirement form (SRF), programme request management (PRM), tool management, and optimisation are some of the areas that will be covered.

 

 

Work together with partners in customer service to support operational excellence and provide ongoing support to partners and third parties.

 

 

Monitor the ecosystem of bank sponsors and create and distribute a market intelligence report each month.

 

 

Keep an active eye on and record the acquiring bank’s sponsor ecosystem (conferences, partner news, current events, and rules).

 

 

This job is a hybrid. Employees that are hybrids can switch between working remotely and in the office. In general, employees in hybrid jobs should be in the office 50% of the time or more, depending on business needs. However, employees in traditional roles can expect to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (decided by leadership/site).

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Basic Requirements

 

• At least five years of experience with an advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD, etc.), or two years of work experience with a PhD, or eight or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• At least five years of relevant job experience with an advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or two years of work experience with a PhD in business, strategy, finance, marketing, computer science, or a related field, or nine or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree

 

• Five years of relevant work experience, at least three of which must have been spent in sales or account management

 

• An experienced person with business development and account management experience who can handle uncertainty and meet deadlines in a matrixed workplace would be the perfect candidate.

 

• At least eight years’ experience in the financial services sector in sales, account management, business development, payments, fintech, management, or consulting.

 

• A Master’s or MBA degree

 

• Profound background in the banking or financial services sector or in payments

 

• Proven capacity to oversee intricate projects in cross-functional environments with numerous stakeholders

 

• A wealth of presentation and communication experience at all organisational levels, as well as the capacity to communicate clearly in front of the right people.

 

• Proficiency in organising, prioritisation, and time management

 

• Knowledge of Card Networks’ basic operations and procedures

 

• Experience in cross-functional product, sales, or business management

 

 

 

 

 

 

Travel Conditions

 

• The incumbent of this position must travel 5–10% of the time for work.

Physical and Mental Requirements: This job will be done in an office environment. The job will involve the incumbent standing and sitting at a desk, speaking with clients face-to-face and over the phone, and using computers and other common office equipment on a regular basis.

ONLY US APPLICANTS: For a new recruit into this role, the expected salary range is between $180,000.00 to $138,500.00 USD, with possible sales incentive payments included (if applicable). Salary may differ based on knowledge, skills, experience, geography, and other job-related criteria. Bonuses and equity may also be available for this employment.
