For our in-patient unit, we are currently hiring both full-time and part-time staff nurses.
It is not necessary to have prior palliative care expertise, but it is necessary to have a passion for providing superb nursing care in a small team.
Using a comprehensive approach, you will evaluate each patient’s unique care needs and create appropriate care plans while giving patients, their families, and caregivers support, guidance, and information. Also, you will use our patient information system to maintain accurate nursing records and assist Nursing Support Assistants as needed.

Main responsibilities of the job
You must be a level one registered nurse interested in honing your skills in a palliative care environment in order to be considered for this position. It would be ideal but not necessary to have prior experience working with patients who are towards the end of their lives or in an oncology context. As a member of a small team, you must be adaptable, a strong team player, and able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
accountable for determining the appropriate care plans to implement and evaluate the care using a holistic approach in accordance with Isabel Hospice working practices. responsible for assessing the individual care needs of patients.
to keep an eye on the level of care provided while promoting strict standards in line with Isabel Hospice’s rules and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
Provide patients, families, and caregivers face-to-face and over the advice line information, advice, and support while being aware of escalation protocols.
Recognize the value of volunteers and collaborate with them to provide care for patients and their families.
Interpersonal abilities that encourage clarity, compassion, empathy, respect, and trust should be displayed.
