About the role

Planning and administering the kind of care that will truly promote our residents’ independence, dignity, and sense of security will fall under your purview. You will get to know our residents and their families, which will enable us give care that is truly individualized. Managing a team of Care Assistants, you will be accountable for maintaining the highest levels of care and you’ll have a real influence on the rest of the team. Above all else, you’ll act with kindness, whether you’re explaining how to use a walking frame, assisting someone who is near the end of their life with eating, or calling a resident’s family. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in administering medication, as well as engaging in a variety of social and recreational activities that will stimulate the body and mind.

Building excellent relationships with the other members of your team and keeping accurate records of the work you do are two of your important duties as a senior care assistant.

About you

Sponsorship for a skilled worker visa is available to applicants who meet the requirements of two years of experience and current residence in the UK. If you don’t reside in the UK, do not apply; we are unable to accept your application at this time.

You should ideally have a S/NVQ 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, experience in person-centered care planning, and understanding of dementia care. Your outstanding optimistic attitude and innate ability to get along with others are vital, though. You’ll be able to efficiently manage your time and know what good record keeping looks like. Also, you’ll be really considerate and kind anytime you speak with a resident or fellow employee.
