Job Summary

The Infrastructure Lifecycle Management Team is in charge of ensuring that the Trust’s IT infrastructure is regularly refreshed, modernised, and supported by the relevant third-party vendors. We are looking to form a team to use and implement methodologies and plans to help deliver the lifecycle change programme. Furthermore, to establish professional relationships, implement change, and give subject matter expertise in order to avoid operational and cyber impacts when changes are made to infrastructure.

 

Main responsibilities, tasks, and abilities required

The IT Support Officers’ primary responsibility is to assist with the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management Programme. This includes assisting with the maintenance and renewal of network and voice services, providing assistance to the Server refresh project as needed, supporting the Passive Infrastructure team, and ensuring critical documentation is recorded and appropriately maintained. We are searching for two IT Support Officers with a strong work ethic to join our extremely busy team.

Desirable skills and experience:

A thorough understanding of Microsoft operating systems

Active Directory Administration

Exposure to Cisco network settings

Exposure to Cisco Voice Services

Experienced at creating and executing test plans.

Understanding of Passive Infrastructure and experience with data/voice patching.

Willingness to use new technology and software tools

Ability to adapt to new methods and processes.

A team player.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • CompTIA A+ and N+ certifications, or an IT-related degree/higher diploma, or equivalent industrial qualifications or experience.

 

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant IT experience earned working within either a first or second tier support function.
  • Extensive expertise providing application, software, hardware, and mobile device support in an ICT context.
  • Extensive experience operating under established Service Level Agreements and Service Level Targets.
