Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time with flexible shift options. You may also join our bank for additional shifts.
Shift Pattern: Typically, doctors prefer 1 x 24-hour shift per week or 2 x 12-hour shifts. Full-time opportunities are also available, with rotas planned well in advance to allow flexibility around your other commitments.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Resident Doctor in Critical Care to join our team at The Wellington Hospital.

While we are a Consultant-led service, we believe in empowering our Resident Doctors to expand their roles. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to audits, quality improvement projects, and internal networks, as well as attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and focus groups, all while enhancing your clinical expertise.
With all our hospitals rated as “Good” or “Outstanding” by the CQC, you can trust that both you and your patients are in the safest hands.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully registered with the GMC with a current licence to practice
- A post-graduate qualification (FRCA, FICM, MRCEM, MRCP, or equivalent) is desirable
- NHS-trained in Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthesia (ST3 and above or equivalent)
- Proficient in managing complex airways unsupervised and capable of training and supporting others
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and mentoring junior doctors
- A current ALS certificate
