Shift Team Leader

Salary: £42600 DOE (with shift premium), with the possibility of a bonus and great benefits like a company pension.
The job is full-time and permanent, and the 12-hour shifts are split between day and night.

Position Summary
The Operations Manager and Systems Performance Managers are supported by the AWG Team Leader, a shift-based production function. The primary responsibility of the position is to mentor the shift-based technicians while taking ownership of the establishment of site standards, procedures, and working methods. You’ll be responsible for the PDR system and take ownership of your team’s training schedule. This position will be focused on enhancing performance, including performance in terms of people, standards, and production.
An AWG Team Leader’s typical day entails…
Important obligations include:
As the first point of contact for shop floor escalation, to coordinate the shift in response to operational needs (resources, people, planning).
Process order management, cost control, and assisting teammates with delivery are all under their purview.
Provide TPM initiatives while collaborating with AWGs to promote manufacturing excellence.
Provide the conditions for a safe working environment and the safety culture. Examine and enforce employee safety and hygiene measures (e.g PPE, GMP, LOTO, etc.)
Make ensuring that final goods are routinely produced in accordance with quality standards and pertinent manufacturing instructions (compliance).
Make sure that all installations are in functioning order and that the working areas are kept clean in accordance with Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
Encourage the development of the working group team members with the Systems Performance Managers. Assist the Systems Performance Manager by coaching team members and organizing training when the SPMs detect training shortages. Give the AWG member group the Personal Growth Review.
To maintain the database of Globe, DMO, and other active data entry systems, AWG Group is given coaching, support, and a considerable amount of challenge.
Coordinate issues such as daily attendance, timekeeping, and labor planning during the shift.
How will you be successful?
Ability to lead a working group of Operations Technicians with dual training and exhibit good coordination skills
Although not required, previous team leadership experience would be advantageous.
It is crucial to have working knowledge of H&S, environmental, and legal regulations in the context of food manufacturing.
Experience with TPM or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
