Job Description
Job Summary
At our adult learning disability inpatient department, we are now hiring healthcare assistants.
The Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or an equivalent degree must have been earned by the chosen candidates. Applicants must also meet the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period and have literacy and numeracy skills at level 2 or higher (first 6 months in role).
Main responsibilities of the job
The chosen individuals who lack the necessary credentials will be forced to enroll in the Healthcare Assistant Framework, which entails earning a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, a level 2 in Reading and Numeracy, or an equivalent, and meeting competency requirements. You will have no more than two years to finish this.
The individuals would be in charge of helping those with learning disabilities who also exhibit worrying behaviors, mental health issues, or epilepsy.
We are looking to hire people who are adaptable, energetic, and care deeply about our clientele. The job will be multifaceted and encompass all facets of care, from establishing systems for delivering care plans to encouraging client autonomy and choice.
In order to participate in community activities as part of their treatment plans, our clients need someone who will support them in doing so.
Although a comprehensive induction will be provided and additional training will be provided as identified/required, experience dealing with people with learning disabilities is ideal for this role due to the complicated nature of the client group.
