The Big Phone Store is expanding, and we’re looking for experienced Back End Developers to join our growing team!

We’re passionate about coding, and we want individuals who share that passion. You’ll be working alongside a team of enthusiastic developers who live and breathe code.

As a full-time, permanent member of our team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our company and supporting our continued growth. We offer the possibility of visa sponsorship after a probationary period of 6 to 12 months, based on performance. If you’re based outside of the UK, remote work is an option, and if you’re based in the UK, onsite work is also available.

Must-Have Experience:

  • Proficiency with the Laravel PHP Framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using PHP and Laravel.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing components.
  • Design and implement APIs.
  • Work independently to complete modules with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate technical challenges to non-technical team members.
  • Manage and prioritize your own workload (no micromanagement).
  • Forecast timelines and contribute to project planning.
  • Troubleshoot and debug code as necessary.
  • Write clean, well-tested code that can stand the test of time and isn’t prone to becoming legacy code.
  • Create scalable, efficient code.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience or demonstrated passion for coding.
  • Solid knowledge of PHP and/or Laravel.
  • Experience working with SQL databases.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Confidence in your coding abilities.
  • A genuine passion for coding.
  • A fast learner with an eagerness to grow.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
