Job Summary:

This position is open to registered neonatal nurses or newly qualified nurses.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide and maintain high standards of evidence-based, patient-centred care.
- Develop practical skills within the neonatal specialty while reflecting our core philosophy of care.
- Deliver daily patient care, using a multidisciplinary approach to ensure a holistic approach to patient and family involvement.
- Experienced Band 5 nurses will also be expected to provide clinical and managerial leadership in the absence of senior team members, empowering staff to deliver effective, evidence-based care.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (part 1, 7, or 10 of the NMC register).
- Degree or working towards a degree.
- Teaching/Mentorship Qualification.
Desirable:
- Foundation in neonatology.
- Specialist qualification in neonatology.
Experience:
Essential:
- Post-registration experience in neonates.
- Teaching experience or ability to mentor junior staff.
Additional Criteria:
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and judgement skills.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
