We have a limited number of sponsorship positions available for this Specialist role. To qualify for sponsorship, you must have at least 12 months of experience in a similar care role and hold a UK driving licence.

Care South, a leading not-for-profit charity, is offering exciting opportunities for Specialist Home Care Assistants to join our Somerset Care at Home team. In this role, you will support clients with a variety of needs within their own homes across Crewkerne and the surrounding areas.

This community-based position requires applicants to have a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Key duties for Specialist Home Care Assistants include:

  • Providing high-quality care to support clients in maintaining independence
  • Assisting clients in building confidence and returning to independent living
  • Ensuring clients’ dignity and meeting their personal care needs, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
  • Working with clients to meet their individual care needs
  • Shifts can range from early to late (7am–10pm), with alternate weekend working required

About you:

  • Previous experience in a care setting is essential
  • Flexibility with working hours and the ability to work every other weekend
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • You will need an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to undergo one
