Job Description and Main Responsibilities:

Essential Criteria:
- Proven ability to align with the Trust’s values.
Education & Professional Qualifications:
Essential: Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ, CACHE or equivalent).
Desirable: Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Food Hygiene Certificate.
Experience:
Essential:
- Extensive experience working with children in a nursery setting.
- Supervising children in a room.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- Solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Statutory Framework, and the 7 areas of learning.
- Promoting inclusion, equality, and individuality.
- Awareness of Safeguarding Children procedures.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Practical Hygiene standards.
- Understanding of food hygiene and healthy eating principles.
Skills and Aptitudes:
Essential:
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills.
- Confidence in communicating with parents, children, and colleagues.
Personal Qualities & Attributes:
Essential:
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
Desirable: Demonstrated creativity.
Other Requirements:
Essential:
- Flexibility to cover all sites as needed.
- Ability to work varying shifts to ensure appropriate ratios are maintained.
- Willingness to perform additional duties as required by the Nursery Manager.
