Contract: Fixed Term – 12 months
Hours: Full Time – 35 hours per week, plus out-of-hours (OOH) commitment
We are seeking a motivated and confident veterinarian to join our team for a 12-month Small Animal Internal Medicine Internship. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive team of Medicine Diplomates, clinicians, residents, nurses, and animal care assistants.
The Opportunity
Our internship program is designed for recently qualified veterinarians or those who have completed a rotating internship and are seeking specialized experience in internal medicine. Over 12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Receive high-quality postgraduate training in small animal internal medicine.
- Gain extensive clinical experience managing medicine cases under the guidance of board-certified specialists (European and American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine: ECVIM and ACVIM).
- Work closely with senior clinical scholars (residents of the ECVIM).
This internship offers exposure to specialist veterinary care and can serve as a stepping stone toward a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship program, a career in research, academia, or specialist clinical medicine.
Your Skills and Attributes for Success
- Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Proficiency in English with appropriate qualifications.
