Full-time: 35 hours per week

The School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent, teaching-focused Lecturer to join its Department of Psychology.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching within the department, becoming part of a collaborative team that designs and delivers the quantitative methods curriculum (taught in R) for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring courses remain engaging, innovative, and reflective of current developments in the field, while providing support for students’ academic and professional development. In addition, the successful candidate will coordinate a team of tutors to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of teaching.

Your Skills and Attributes for Success:
Proven experience in teaching research methods and statistics, typically supported by a relevant qualification (PhD or equivalent).
Demonstrated teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with involvement in course/curriculum design and development.
Proficiency with the open-source software R and RStudio, including experience implementing and teaching statistical methods in R.
A positive, collegiate attitude towards teaching and departmental responsibilities.
A passion for motivating, supporting, and leading students, teaching teams, and colleagues.
