SUMMARY:

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking for Licenced Mechanics with Type Ratings (A330, A320, 787, 777, and 737) Avionics/Aviation Mechanics to join our corporate team of experts to test, repair, and ensure the continued performance of our IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) systems on planes for some of the world’s most well-known commercial airlines. WHAT WILL YOU DO:

As a Maintenance Services Representative, you will use your licence and gained abilities to do line maintenance on various aircraft, both inside and outside the cabin. Local management will allocate responsibilities for the maintenance of the airframe, powerplant, and in-flight entertainment/connectivity systems.

 

THE JOB:

Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and modifications to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subject to UK CAA regulations.

 

Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support

  • Perform built-in (BIT) and manual tests on Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems.
  • Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles that fail down to replaceable modules utilising electronic theory expertise.
  • Identify the repairs required to restore functional acceptance, which may include removing and replacing damaged line replaceable modules and/or cabling.
  • Perform maintenance checks on customer aircraft for different carriers.
  • Operate a vehicle on airport grounds and near planes.
  • Operate airline communication equipment.
  • Communicate and interact with customers.
  • Use computer and bar-coding technology to document testing and repairs.
  • Assist in the tracking of spare inventory.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by your immediate supervisor or upper management.

 

What is required:

  • Must hold a B1 or B2 licence.
  • Type Rating for the following aircraft: A320, A330, 737, 747, 777.
  • Must pass a 5-year background check and reference checks.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Must be available for any shift work.
  • General understanding of fundamental electrical mechanics or similar experience gained through commercial aviation, military service, or technical school study is strongly recommended but not essential.
  • IFE or avionics experience is strongly encouraged, but not essential.
  • Requirements include climbing and working from a ladder or platform, as well as prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and twisting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of operating in harsh climates and restricted spaces for lengthy periods of time.
  • The ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, procedures, plans, diagrams, and manuals, as well as understand and follow vocal directions in English.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
