ABOUT THE ROLE

You may work alone as a nurse at times, in which case you will be in charge of managing and directing the care team to uphold the highest standards of nursing and personal care while offering clinical leadership and direction as needed. Together with each resident, their primary carers, family, and the larger staff at the home, you will provide, monitor, and reassess the care needs of each individual. You will also effectively communicate with GPs, hospitals, and other organisations.

Located in Old Sarum, Bourne House is a care home with 72 beds. The house provides residential and dementia care in a pleasant, welcoming environment.

ABOUT YOU
You will be presently registered with the NMC and qualified as a Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse. You’ll be able to demonstrate ongoing professional development activities, have post-registration experience, and feel at ease working independently. Along with having knowledge of regulatory frameworks, you will be well-versed in, or willing to acquire training in:
- Administration of medication
- Categorization of
- final-stage care
- Validation of demise
- Injector drivers
- Gastropomy nursing
- Surgical wounds
- Awareness of diabetes
- Tissue health
- Awareness of epilepsy
- Awareness of sepsis and management of worsening
