The University is inviting applications for the position of Associate Professor in Accounting. This is a full-time, permanent role offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious academic to make a significant contribution to research, teaching, and departmental development within the field of Accounting.

The successful candidate will be based within the Department of Finance and Accounting, which consists of two main areas: Finance (The ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. The appointed Associate Professor will primarily contribute to the Accounting discipline, delivering high-quality teaching, research, and administrative leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in Accounting, demonstrating research leadership and pursuing external research funding opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging teaching at undergraduate and master’s levels across a range of Accounting subjects. The ability to teach in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Data Analytics in Accounting will be an asset.
  • Undertake administrative and leadership duties within the Department and actively participate in academic citizenship activities.

Essential Requirements

  • A PhD in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at university level.
  • A strong record of research publications in top-tier Accounting journals.
  • Experience with data analytics in Accounting.
