We are seeking motivated and compassionate individuals for the role of Mental Health Support Worker in Epsom, Surrey, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of those with mental health needs. Due to an Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act, this role is open to male applicants only.
Pay: £11.90 per hour (Overtime rate: £12.40 per hour)
Hours: 48 hours per week (based on 12-hour shifts)
Location: Epsom, Surrey (Reigate Road) – 8-minute walk from Ewell East train station

Key Responsibilities:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be joining a passionate team providing person-centred care to adults with forensic mental health backgrounds, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour. Your role will involve delivering outstanding care and support to enable these individuals to live more independently and engage meaningfully in their communities.
What You Will Do:
- Provide support to adults with forensic mental health, learning disabilities, and autism in a supported living environment.
- Engage in physical activities with service users, including biking, fishing, and swimming.
- Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and enthusiasm in handling challenging behaviours.
- Work independently and as part of a team to offer outstanding person-centred care.
- Apply restraint techniques as needed (training will be provided).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in supporting individuals with mental health, autism, and challenging behaviours.
- Confidence in lone working and being part of a wider supportive team.
- Commitment to personal and professional development with a strong value-driven approach to care.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and proactive with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Willingness to work shifts as required by the service.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a forensic mental health or supported living setting.
- NVQ qualification in Social Care or Care Certificate (Training provided if necessary).
- Knowledge or experience with diabetes management (Training can be provided).
- A valid driving license is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to commute within 30 minutes to Epsom.

- Currently hold a Student Visa and have graduated in the UK.
