The Barbary Notting Hill, part of Studio Paskin, is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our flagship restaurant in West London. As we expand into this vibrant neighborhood, this is an exceptional opportunity for an established hospitality professional to take charge of our most ambitious project to date. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a dynamic team of 60, ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality.
  • Customer Experience: Drive exceptional guest experiences by maintaining an elevated standard of service and hospitality.
  • Business Acumen: Use strong business insights to manage financials, meet business targets, and ensure profitability.
  • Innovation: Bring a forward-thinking approach to operations, leveraging technology and contemporary trends in the London dining scene.
  • Staff Training and Development: Inspire and mentor your team, instilling a commitment to excellence.
  • Restaurant Opening: Support the smooth launch of the new venue and contribute to its long-term success.
  • Wine Knowledge: Apply your knowledge of wines, ideally supported by a WSET Level 3 certification, to enhance the dining experience.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a General Manager or ambitious Assistant General Manager in a high-end, high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Personality: A confident and vibrant leader who thrives in the bustling restaurant environment, with the ability to command the dining room.
  • Business Skills: Proven experience with business financials, achieving targets, and driving profitability.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and capable of managing large teams, with a focus on attention to detail and strategic thinking.
  • New Openings: Experience in managing new restaurant openings is a plus.
  • Wine Expertise: A strong background in wine, with WSET Level 3 certification preferred.

The Barbary Notting Hill will feature an iconic 75-cover kitchen counter, an intimate dining room, and a dedicated cocktail bar. Inspired by elemental cooking, this restaurant will offer a fresh and elevated dining experience, continuing the tradition of excellence set by The Barbary.
