About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding (MASH) team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Screening adult safeguarding concerns and conducting Section 42 enquiries in line with Care Act duties.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with service users and professionals.
  • Applying your knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, to support and protect vulnerable adults.
  • Engaging with individuals, families, and agencies to ensure that safeguarding actions are taken effectively and that the views of the person are central to the process.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualification: Relevant social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work) and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding and an understanding of safeguarding frameworks and procedures.
  • Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with service users, professionals, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safeguarding policies, the Care Act, and the Mental Capacity Act.

Working Pattern:

  • 36 hours per week with varied shift patterns (7.2-hour shifts), covering the service from 8am to 8pm and weekends on a rota basis (9am-5pm).
