About Us:
At Mak Building Services Pvt Ltd, we are expanding rapidly due to increased demand in the building and construction sector. With over two years of experience in Leicester, we are now looking to hire a skilled bricklayer to help us meet the growing needs of our clients. As a bricklayer, you will play a key role in one of the most essential aspects of construction within the housing industry. Your work will include laying bricks, measuring areas, and maintaining or repairing existing structures. Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain building blocks, measure out building areas, and work in various weather conditions, including at heights.
- Take down and rebuild block walls and carry out full bricklaying work.
- Identify and rectify defects, including cutting out brickwork and cleaning cavities.
- Prepare and lay concrete footings and relay concrete paths.
- Install liquid damp proof courses and renew bituminous damp proof courses.
- Conduct regular safety checks on the site and equipment, as well as multi-tasking across different trade disciplines.
- Use spirit levels and plumb lines to ensure building alignment and operate hand tools, power tools, and brick-cutting equipment.
- Work from written and verbal instructions, including drawings and sketches.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment.
- Ensure properties are left clean and safe upon completion of work.
- Accurately document work activities on a daily basis.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £33,000 – £39,000 per year, based on experience
Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (08:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
