We are currently seeking a Nurse to join our team at Maes-y-Dderwen, Tredegar. You will work as part of a dedicated team that is passionate about making a difference to the lives of those in our care. As a Nurse, your key duties will include:
Providing the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents’ needs and wishes, and enhancing their quality of life.
Championing independence and personal choice, developing, reviewing, and updating care plans to meet residents’ physical, social, and psychological needs.
Overseeing medicine management on your shift, ensuring proper handling, storage, and administration in line with policies and legislation.
Building a positive reputation for the business by liaising professionally with visitors and external stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines and proactively addressing risks.
Supporting and mentoring others in accordance with the NMC Code.
Preferred skills and experience for this role:
Ability to lead a team, analyse problems, and propose solutions or improvements.
Effective communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships.
Competence in using IT and communication systems relevant to the role.
Respect for the values, views, and needs of others.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a prioritised workload.
Experience of delivering nursing care in a mental health setting.
Experience participating in quality and clinical governance programmes.

Salary: £20.60 per hour
Working Hours: 36 hours per week (day shifts, 07:45 am to 8:15 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break).
