People Operations Manager – GE Vernova

In this role, you will oversee the People Operations framework for all GE Vernova’s Business Units (BUs), ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes and projects. You will be responsible for education and awareness initiatives, escalation management, workforce development support, governance, and overseeing BU operations projects. As a leader, you will manage a team of delivery managers who serve as the primary liaison between HR Partners and GEV People Operations, ensuring that all processes are efficiently executed and escalations are addressed within SLA.

Your strategic role will focus on driving compliance, productivity, and efficiency in HR processes and tools, tailored to the needs of the business units. You will foster knowledge-sharing within the team, disseminating best practices and new approaches. You will leverage your expertise to influence a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of strategic priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities

– Lead a team responsible for responding to employee and HR service requests, processing transactions in HR systems, and managing escalations. This includes areas such as employee data management, employee lifecycle management, HR help desk support, business relations, escalations, change management, special data requests, mass changes, WD security, data audits, and operational support for annual HR business processes.

– Develop deep expertise in HR operations within GE Vernova, serving as a best practices resource for business units (BUs). Stay informed on the latest trends and contribute to strategy and policy development, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives. Lead the business toward transformative changes in systems, processes, and vendor services.

– Support BU HR-related projects, including organizational restructures, legal entity simplifications, acquisitions, and divestitures. Effectively communicate complex messages, negotiate internally with People Operations (POps) and BUs, and influence peers to adopt new approaches. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers when necessary.

– Act as an experienced influencer, adept at communicating complex HR-related information to HR colleagues and other functions, building consensus and navigating sensitive topics.

– Drive improvements in project approaches, programs, and organizational processes. Impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team, making decisions that contribute to the function’s success. Work within broad guidelines and policies while exercising evaluative judgment.

– Utilize judgment and technical expertise to analyze data, solve problems, and provide recommendations. Draw on internal and external resources to inform decision-making and drive improvements in HR operations.

 

Required Qualifications

– Master’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge/experience; or a high school diploma/GED with significant experience in a relevant job family or function.
– Extensive prior professional experience in a service-oriented environment, particularly in Payroll & Benefits and/or People Operations.
– Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

If contracted in the US

The salary range for this position is $120,700 – $180,000 USD annually. The final salary offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and work location. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus.
