What You Will Be Doing

  • Creating implementing, and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that reflect each student’s specific learning requirements.
  • Working closely with classroom teachers to adapt the curriculum and promote inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Building a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that prioritises wellbeing and participation.
  • Partnering with parents, carers, and specialist professionals to deliver holistic, student-centred support.
  • Maintaining clear documentation and contributing to broader school initiatives that strengthen inclusion.

 

What You Need

  • A recognised teaching qualification with experience or specialisation in Special Education.
  • Current registration, or eligibility to register, with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory.
  • Solid knowledge of inclusive education, diverse learner support, and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
