The Role: Senior Account Manager, Motorsports
Join our Motorsports team as a Senior Account Manager, where you’ll handle the everyday running and successful delivery of key motorsport sponsorship accounts. You’ll be instrumental in bringing campaigns to life, nurturing relationships with clients and partners, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
This position reports directly to a Partnerships Director in the Motorsports division.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Clients and Accounts
- Develop a deep knowledge of each client’s brand goals, industry context, and competitive environment.
- Help shape and roll out sponsorship strategies, from big-picture planning to hands-on execution.
- Maintain regular, positive contact with clients, rights holders, and suppliers.
- Oversee the creation and rollout of digital content and social media activations that align with campaign aims.
- Join brainstorming sessions and bring fresh ideas to partnership creatives.
- Keep projects on track with clear timelines, budgets, and reporting.
- Monitor performance metrics, analyze results after campaigns, and share actionable insights.
- Lead client updates and internal status meetings to keep everyone aligned.
- Spot potential issues early and raise them promptly for resolution.
Collaboration and Team Support
- Guide and develop junior staff, ensuring their work meets high standards and deadlines.
- Work seamlessly with specialists across the agency for smooth, integrated project delivery.
- Foster strong relationships throughout Wasserman to support account success.
Commercial and Financial Contributions
- Track budgets, reconcile expenses, and forecast spending while finding ways to optimize costs.
- Look for opportunities to expand services and revenue within current client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in client service and account management, preferably in an agency setting.
- Comfort juggling several projects and tight deadlines at once.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Confident communication both spoken and written—with strong presentation abilities (including PowerPoint).
- Experience mentoring or overseeing junior colleagues.
- A creative approach, eager to suggest new ideas and practical solutions.
- Agency background is highly valued.
- Knowledge of motorsport is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with major global brands is a bonus, though not required.
