Role Summary:
Millwall Football Club is seeking a highly motivated and professional Commercial Assistant to join their commercial team at this London sporting event facility.
As an established venue, you will also be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our commercial team by assisting with customer inquiries, payment processing, and organising logistical and operational requirements for matchdays, conferences, and events.
The role is varied and will change from day to day as needed, but it will primarily involve working with internal and external clients, answering initial phone and email inquiries, and assisting with matchday sponsorship, hospitality, and event delivery, including client coordination and liaising with chefs and other operational staff. The post provides an excellent opportunity for someone to get diverse experience working in a busy commercial team, and it would be ideal for someone interested in a career in commercial partnerships sales and management or hospitality sales and delivery.
Key responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Respond to phone and email inquiries from current and prospective clients in a timely and professional manner.
· Assisting sales executives in processing inbound sales.
· Helped plan and set up stadium events, including matchdays.
· Responsible for processing client payments, providing order confirmation, information, and ticketing as needed, and ensuring accurate internal sales reporting.
· Responsible for processing invoices, coordinating with the finance team, and monitoring client payments to ensure correct records.
· Helping with partnership rights tracking and fulfilment.
· Collaborating with the catering team to plan and convey client volumes for matchdays, including unique requirements. · Ensuring event planning is clear and understood internally.
· Maintain and update sales and customer records.
· Perform general office and administrative chores, such as filing, scanning, and maintaining sales records.
Essential Requirements:
• Proactive in balancing several requirements in a fast-paced sales environment · Capable of developing strong and lasting relationships · Effective communication abilities, both written and oral. Excellent attention to detail and delight in correctness. A true team player. Personable and eager to learn about hospitality, sales, and sponsorship. Proficient IT abilities, especially Microsoft Office.
Desired requirements:
· Administrative experience is advantageous.
• Experience with sales, CRM, and ticketing systems.
Hours of work: You will be required to work Monday through Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., and you will be expected to work as reasonably required to meet the demands of the business. The position holder will be needed to work on home match days, including evenings and weekends.
