Days (Monday-Friday) Maintenance Engineer
Are you a seasoned Maintenance Technician seeking a new challenge? We are looking for a few Engineers to work on an integral delivery programme for a MOD contract.
What makes this role unique? If you have recently served in the Army and are searching for your next career move, this could be the option for you. Alternatively, if you have a mechanical engineering background and are willing to join the Army Reserve (under our client sponsorship plan), this may be the option for you.
You’ll be situated at their Service Centre in Barnstaple and will be needed to travel throughout the UK and internationally on occasion.
What you intend to do;
- Supported the MOD by servicing and maintaining materials handling and plant equipment.
- Fault detection, breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance, and pre-delivery equipment inspection.
- You will guarantee that customer service is maintained at a high level and that any concerns are addressed.
- Following the safety norms and policies established by customers and the company
- You will maintain and create client connections by providing excellent service.
What you’ll require;
- You should have a technical qualification and experience working on plant, MHE, powered access, HGVs, or equivalent equipment, however complete training will be provided.
- Prior military experience is beneficial, but it is not required, as complete military reservist training is provided.
- You’ll be well-versed in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles.
- You’ll be able to operate under duress while managing and prioritising your task.
This is a fantastic opportunity that includes a base salary of £34,008 (subject to annual increments) plus a £3k bonus for retaining Sponsored Reserve status. 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), with overtime pay at 1.5 Monday through Friday and x2 on weekends. When deployed on MOD deployments, you will also receive pay raises.
