Job Summary

At University Hospital Southampton Foundation NHS Trust, we are seeking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician (Mechanically Bias) to our team.

You will have the necessary relevant experience in engineering, including in the following disciplines:

Engineer, HVAC Plumbing and pipefitting services Mechanical engineer, technician, and building services engineer

You’ll have the following attributes:

· The capacity to read and comprehend engineering texts and drawings a track record of fault detection knowledge of mechanical systems that is in-depth technically, legally, and in terms of best practices (Vent, Water, Compressed gasses etc) o Practical knowledge of safe isolation techniques and safe work practices Adaptable working methods based on the requirements of the team eagerness to expand their knowledge and skills both written and vocal communication skills are strong.

Main responsibilities of the job

YOUR MAIN DUTY

Typical Tasks Involve:

Design proposals are reviewed, persistent faults are identified and fixed, and systemic performance issues are addressed. Routine maintenance is carried out in collaboration with maintenance contractors.

Working with the following systems is part of the job:

Motors, Steam, Potable Systems, BMS/Controls, AHUs, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, LTHW, and Chilled Water
