The Role of Area Manager:

As the Area Manager at Papa John’s, you’ll oversee multiple store locations and manage a team of Store Managers. Your primary responsibility is to lead, motivate, and develop teams that not only deliver on business goals but also create a fun, energetic culture that centers around the love for pizza. You will ensure all stores are run legally and safely while achieving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire Store Managers and their teams to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
  • HR & Recruitment: Oversee recruitment, team engagement, and general HR management.
  • Profitability & Growth: Identify opportunities for business growth and drive profitability through strategic decisions.
  • Scheduling & Cost Management: Manage staff scheduling and control costs to maintain store profitability.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering clear communication across your teams.
  • Technology Savvy: Be proficient in using POS systems, Excel, Word, and have the ability to learn internal systems quickly.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a management role, ideally in multi-unit leadership within hospitality or retail.
  • Strong Knowledge of Hospitality: In-depth understanding of the hospitality and food management sector.
  • Talent Development: Proven track record in developing internal talent and building strong teams.
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to ensure stores operate safely and within legal standards.
  • Valid Driving License: Must hold a UK driving license, as extensive travel may be required.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, nights, and during peak business hours.

Preferred Experience:

  • Area Manager Experience: At least 2 years managing multiple locations (required)
  • Food Industry Experience: Experience working in the pizza industry (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred but not required
  • Food Management: Minimum of 2 years of food management experience (required)

Work Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts
  • Weekend and night availability required
  • Overtime opportunities

Pay and Benefits:
