Industrial Electrician – Boden

Position details

The role

Stegra is currently seeking skilled Industrial Electricians to join our team at the casting unit in Boden. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced electrical systems in one of Sweden’s most forward-looking industrial projects. As part of our mission to make fossil-free steel production a reality, you will contribute directly to building a more sustainable future while tackling complex technical challenges in a dynamic environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on low- and medium-voltage equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults by using testing equipment, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Program and configure industrial control systems to support production processes.
  • Inspect, maintain, and replace electrical components such as breakers, transformers, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Support continuous improvements of maintenance routines and assist in training operators in fundamental maintenance practices.
  • Comply with safety standards, apply Lock Out-Tag Out procedures, and promote safe working practices.
  • (Optional) After dedicated training and medical approval, participate in the company’s rescue response team.

Your qualifications

  • Substantial experience in heavy industry; having worked in steel production is a strong advantage.
  • Completed secondary-level education in electrical engineering or an equivalent technical background.
  • Solid knowledge of automation and control systems, preferably Siemens or Honeywell.
  • Valid certifications in safety and health practices (e.g., ESA / OHSA) and familiarity with Swedish/EU safety regulations.
  • Ability to work shifts and perform accurately while being self-reliant.
  • Good command of English; Swedish is desirable.
  • Openness to undergo internal rescue service training; previous related experience is beneficial.
