Location: Wakefield City Campus (with work across multiple campus sites)
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
About the Role:
Join our Business Systems team as a Systems Support Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, effectiveness, and relevance of Wakefield College’s systems. As part of a focused team, you’ll leverage your technical expertise and business process knowledge to support the implementation of our Business System Strategy.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for administering and developing various College business systems and applications. You’ll also train users to maximize the systems’ potential and provide ongoing support to staff and students, particularly with the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and associated eLearning technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer assistance, analysis, and advice to staff regarding the College’s business systems.
- Develop applications and systems to align with the College’s business needs.
- Provide support and guidance to staff and students on using the College’s VLE and eLearning technologies.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
- A Level 3 qualification or higher in a Business or IT-related subject.
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grades A* – C / 9 – 4, or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering training sessions.
- Excellent communication skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
