Fourth Battalion The Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment (4PWRR) is searching for a motivated and committed candidate to join the Quartermasters (QM) Department as a Storekeeper.
The Ministry of Defence employs almost 50,000 civil servants; our workforce is varied, with several distinct roles and professions providing essential outputs for the Amy.

The function of a storekeeper is hands-on and customer-facing, thus there is an expectation to be on site for the majority of the working week.

The Storekeeper position is critical within the QM Department, as it is in charge of managing and controlling all stores and equipment across the unit.
Job Description
We’re seeking for someone with good customer service skills and basic digital literacy. They will be able to respond to change swiftly and positively, as well as appreciate the need of adhering to manual handling standards.
A excellent teammate, the successful applicant will be able to collaborate closely with their civilian and military colleagues while also efficiently managing their own time.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Demand, record receipts and issues of stores, assets, and equipment using Defence systems, policies, and procedures, and keep up to current on system usage, policy, and processes.
Physical handling, packing, and unloading of stock, assets, and equipment.
Movement of stocks, assets, and equipment (including driving vehicles between geographical areas if required to have a Cat B or Cat C1 UK Driving Licence).
Cleaning and maintenance of stores, assets, equipment, and storage facilities.
Perform stock checks on stores, assets, and equipment.
Person Specification
We are searching for someone with past experience managing logistical systems who appreciates the importance of remaining adaptable in the face of shifting demands and requirements. The role involves a high level of self-motivation, drive, and teamwork.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be ideal for a mix of office and home-based work.
