Job Summary/Basic Functions
A country club cook works in a private country club’s kitchen, where members assemble for recreational activities, social events, and sports. As a country club cook, your major task is to plan and cook meals for club members based on their preferences and dietary needs. Here are some important features of the job.
Menu Planning include working with the executive chef or management team to develop diverse and enticing meals for a variety of events, such as luncheons, dinners, and special occasions.
Food preparation involves ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, correctly preserved, and of good quality. You will be responsible for cutting, chopping, marinating, and preparing a variety of foods.
culinary Techniques: Using a variety of culinary methods to produce meals, such as grilling, sautéing, and frying.
Dietary Accommodations: Being sensitive of club members’ dietary limitations and allergies, and altering recipes accordingly to meet their needs.
Food Presentation: Emphasising the aesthetic appeal of the dishes, as presentation is essential in a country club setting.
Timing and efficiency: Working with other kitchen personnel to ensure that meals are prepared on schedule and efficiently, particularly during busy events or peak hours.
Hygiene and Safety: Following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to keep the kitchen clean and safe.
Teamwork: Working with other culinary staff, servers, and management to deliver a consistent dining experience for club members.
Flexibility is the ability to respond to changing demands by altering the menu or preparing meals for unforeseen events or last-minute requests.
Culinary innovation: Infusing innovation into the kitchen by experimenting with new recipes, flavours, and presentation methods to improve the dining experience for club members.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school/GED.
One year of experience.
Licencing and certifications: Food Handlers Safety Card.
Preferred qualifications:
Be able to cook and fry safely, using correct knife skills.
Job Duties:
Visa sponsorship will be accepted on a case-by-case basis, based on unit needs, available funds, and candidate qualifications.
